Congratulations, Lady Bombers!!! The Lady Bombers-McKeehan team brings home the Championship from Kansas in the 6th grade girls division, bracket C.
Another good weekend for the Lady Bombers in Kansas. The Lady Bombers-McKeehan team began traveling Thursday evening and into Friday to El Dorado (Wichita area), KS. The girls played two games on Friday evening at 4:40pm against the Gardner Blazers and 8:40pm against the Wichita Thunder. The team struggled a little getting timing on their shots which resulted in two losses, but the team began pulling together on Saturday. Saturday morning we were on the court at 11:15am ready to play our final pool play game. The team came ready to play and we won our game against the OK Ultimates. Our pool play placed us in the C bracket for the tournament and we would have to play long and hard to pull out a Championship. As we waited around for the deciding game completions, it was clear that we would be playing all our bracket play on Sunday. We all went home for the evening in preparation for Sunday. Sunday morning our bracket play began at 8:00am against the Trinity Catholics which resulted in a victory. At 11:15am we took on the OK Shockers and again pulled out a victory that put us in position to play for the Championship. The Championship game was played at 2:20pm, in which the Lady Bombers took on the Western IA Express White. The Lady Bombers came out strong and never looked back. The Championship game resulted in a victory, 51-14.
