I love the game of basketball and love playing it. My basketball career started in the 7th grade back in Hemingford, NE, where we began playing the great game of basketball as Jr. High students. I remember playing the boy's teams prior to that during PE classes and having success. In 1983, I began my high school career. I was a swing player as a freshman point guard. Our high school program was very successful and I have adopted much of my coaching style from my High School coach, Coach John Stanton. I started playing varsity basketball as a Sophomore and I was fortunate enough to be on a high school team that went to the Nebraska state playoffs as a Junior, as well as being rated #1 in the Class - C state of Nebraska for the majority of my senior season. I also was blessed with the opportunity to play basketball on a full-ride college scholarship at an all girl’s college – College of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE. I played the point-guard position my entire career so this is the position I am the most knowledgeable. My basketball career ended in 1992 as I graduated college. My love for the game continued as my daughters entered the 3rd grade and was able to play in our school district's basketball program. I began my coaching career as a 3rd grade girls coach in 2003. My coaching career has entered it's seventh year and ranges from recreation basketball for both boys and girls as well as coaching the Lady Bombers - McKeehan team. I have three children, two girls and one boy as well as a great husband. In 2008, my husband and I started the Bombers Athletic Club, Inc, a 501c3 organization, with the goal of giving kids an avenue to further play sports at a competitive level in the Falcon/Colorado Springs area. We started with a softball team and added our first competitive basketball team in 2009, now known as the Lady Bombers - McKeehan team. I have a firm belief in fundamentals and protection in our youth's bodies. My goal is to equip each player with a passion to play the game of basketball and push these individuals to reach their maximum potential. I have an awesome coaching staff that shares in my goals however offering different perspectives, personalities and attributes to round out our program. I am extremely proud of this organization and it is an honor and privilege for me to coach the youth on my teams!
